Online Info on CFS 399: This blog is your source of information about CFS 399. We will not be using Blackboard. Please check this blog before coming to class for updates and last minute changes.
Texts: We have four different types of texts in this course: historical documentaries, a media documentary, television episodes, and films. The first three texts will be examined in class. The films you will examine yourself. So the only cost of the course is the cost you incur in viewing the three required films on your own.
Warning: In this course, media will be shown in class that contain graphic violence, nudity, sexuality, and language. If you are under 17 or are offended by such content should see the instructor for additional course offerings to enroll in and drop this course immediately.
Family Studies Junior Cluster: If you are not a CFS major, this course will count as one of your cluster courses for the Family Studies cluster
Prerequisities: None. This course requires no previous knowledge of family or media studies.
